Brief Introduction and TED talk.

Hello world, as the title says. This is my first blog and is intended to provide a place to exchange opinions, ideas, and other thoughts about a multitude of topics. I have many interests and many ideas that I wish to share for your feedback, and your contributions. Topics of great interest to me at any given time,  I will post here, to initiate a dialogue between myself, and you (the rest of you folks using the WWW). Around the site you will also see many scenic photos. These photos were taken over a period of about 5 years and are scenic views of the geographical typography in the areas I’ve lived.

In my next post I will dive right into a discussion of our social and cultural understanding of Darwinian Evolution and how my theory agrees with but differs from Darwin’s theory. I encourage your feedback and appreciate your comments. Please keep the discussion appropriate in nature and comment only if you have a valuable contribution; namely refrain from flaming, cursing, and so on.

I will also reference a few websites that I regularly visit to find out helpful tips and recent news in many disciplines.

Go ahead and check out the embedded video below. It is a talk given at a TED Conference by Rory Sutherland. The talk is titled “Perspective is everything.” I will post after watching, feel free to comment.

Very interesting talk indeed.  The idea that the circumstances of our lives may actually matter less to our happiness than the sense of control we feel over our lives. This point is incredible compelling and I would say it is very true for me personally. What are your thoughts on that?

You may also want to check out Dr. Nick Chater’s work on the topic in the decision sciences, which focuses on solving problems psychologically.
